Borrowing

On this page

On a market’s page you supply a collateral token, then borrow the loan token against it, both in one panel. Positions live in your vault on Lista’s Moolah markets; the loan is sent to your wallet. Repay anytime; withdraw collateral once your debt allows.

Reading a market#

ColumnMeaning
Borrow rateLista’s variable rate; with ⚡ the LISTA emission is netted in (see Rates).
Max LTV (LLTV)The most you can borrow per $1 of collateral. Cross it and you can be liquidated.
LiquidityWhat lenders have supplied and not yet lent; you can’t borrow more than this.

How much you can borrow#

Borrowable now
min( collateral value × LLTV × 99.5% − current debt , market liquidity )

The 0.5% haircut keeps a new loan from landing exactly on the liquidation line, and the Max button fills 99.5% of that again. Even so, a max borrow leaves almost no buffer: a small price move can make it liquidatable.

Example · Borrowable now
Collateral
0.5 BTCB × $60,000 = $30,000
× LLTV 80% × 99.5%
$23,880
− current debt
− 12,500 USDT
Borrowable now
11,380 USDT (if liquidity allows)

Collateral through a provider#

Some markets (BNB, slisBNB and smart-collateral LPs) take collateral through a Lista provider contract that supplies it on your vault’s behalf. Native BNB is sent with the transaction; ERC-20 collateral is approved to the provider. Withdrawing goes back through your vault to your wallet.

When the protocol is paused#

New supply, borrows and deposits are blocked; repay and every withdrawal stay open, so you can always reduce risk and exit. See Security & risk.
